Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2017-18 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.
Youngstown State University reconizes student academic success with the President's List and Dean's List. The honorees named to the President's List are full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester just ended. Dean's List recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester.
Eight Youngstown State University students recently traveled to the Isle of Man just off the coast of Ireland for a geological field trip. Professor Ray Beiersdorfer and Associate Professors Colleen MLean and Felicia Armstrong organized the 10-day trip.

Youngstown State University's Ads Club, a collegiate chapter of the American Advertising Federation, took third place and received a "Best Media Plan" award at the 2017 National Student Advertising, District 5 Regional Competition. This year's team was the first in the club's history to place at the regional contest.
Fifteen Youngstown State University students were recently inducted to the Order of Omega, a national Greek honor society that recognizes fraternity and sorority members for service to Greek community an their university.
Youngstown State University has inducted 65 outstanding students into its Golden Key International Honor Society. Golden Key is the world's largest collegiate honor society, with more than 400 chapters at colleges and universities around the world.
YSU Greek Campus Life recently made donations totaling nearly $2,500 to two organizations and donated thousands of clothing and food items to Neighborhood Ministries.
Nearly 450 YSU Honors College students spent a Saturday this semester volunteering at local organizations for the annual Global Day of Service event.
